Audible wrapped up the 2023 OBS Spring 2-year-olds in Training sale with a bang on Friday when hip No. 1093 hammered for $535,000 during the final day of the auction.
The figure was the highest of the sale for the WinStar stallion, helping to push his 2023 2-year-olds auction average to $163,083, third-most among all Freshman Sires of this year.
Consigned by Richardson Bloodstock, agent, the filly was acquired by Rich Schermerhorn, Jay Hanley and 30 Year Farm. She had previously sold for $100,000 at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling sale.
Bred by Tony Holmes, Norevale Farm & Union Dale in Kentucky, the gray/roan filly is the second foal out of The Girl Factor, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Catch My Drift.
Audible had a total of four lots bring a least $250,000 during the four-day auction. After breeding over 550 mares combined in his first three years at stud, Audible stands this year for $25,000 S&N.
