Call Another Play emerged from between horses in the final furlong to break her maiden by two lengths at Colonial Downs on Aug. 31 [WATCH RACE].
The 2-year-old filly is the latest winner for First-Crop sire Audible, who got his first stakes horse in the past week as well when Dorothy Crowfoot placed in the Prairie Meadows Debutante S.
Call Another Play broke swiftly and was in a three-way battle for the lead most of the six-furlong trip. She and Two Bronze Stars were the top contenders with a furlong to go, when Call Another Play asserted herself to draw clear late.
The chestnut filly is owned by her breeder R. Larry Johnson. Call Another Play’s dam Past as Prelude is also responsible for stakes-placed Continentalcongres. She was bred to Audible for 2024.
