WinStar Farm welcomed three of its four newly acquired stallions Tuesday, as Bellamy Road, Summer Bird and U S Ranger arrived at their new residence at the Versailles-based farm. WinStar purchased interests in the stallions last Friday from Pauls Mill. Artie Schiller, the fourth stallion acquired in the deal, is currently in Australia for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.
“They arrived first thing this morning and all three settled into their new surroundings very well and very professionally,” said Elliott Walden, WinStar President & CEO. “We’re fortunate to have a great staff at our stallion facility headed by Larry McGinnis. Larry’s team will get well acquainted with these three horses and get them into the lifestyle that our other 10 stallions enjoy.”
Robert Hammond, Director of Bloodstock at WinStar, added: “Anytime you get prospects such as these you think about the future and what could be. We are extremely excited about all of these stallions and can’t wait until the 2012 breeding season.”
