Laoban colt scores stylish debut win at Aqueduct

Uno turned in an impressive debut in a six-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds Nov. 12 at Aqueduct, drawing clear in the final furlong to win going away by 3 3/4-lengths on a muddy racetrack. VIDEO

Uno is Laoban’s eighth overall winner. With his progeny earnings recently surpassing the $1 million mark, Laoban is currently third on the First-Crop sire list and and is tied for first by both black type winners and black type horses. A recent addition to the WinStar stallion roster, Laoban’s 2021 fee was announced at $25,000 S&N.

Uno is owned by Mathis Stable LLC and sold for $225,000 at the 2020 OBS Horses of Racing Age sale this past July. The bay colt was bred by Spruce Lane, Built Wright, Lynn Farm, Will Robbins, Copper Beach, et al.
