Pioneerof the Nile has top weanling Thursday at Keeneland

Pioneerof the Nile’s $550,000 colt was the top-selling weanling during Thursday’s session of the Keeneland November Sale, which runs Nov. 7-18.

Consigned by Bedouin Bloodstock, hip No. 420 went to Baccarri Bloodstock for $550,000.

Out of the stakes-winning mare Bobbie Use, the bay colt is a half-brother to Princess Rooney H. (G1) winner Starship Truffles.

Through the first three days of the sale, Pioneerof the Nile’s weanlings have averaged $295,500, with 10 sold. The WinStar stallion will command a fee of $110,000, stands and nurses, in 2018.
