Audible filly soars to eight-length maiden win at Aqueduct

Audible has been the hottest First-Crop sire in the last week of September, with his first stakes winner Chi Chi, stakes-placed My Mane Squeeze, and most recently on Sept. 28 when Moonlight rolled to an eight-length maiden special weight win at Aqueduct.

Moonlight is the 10th winner for her sire, who now ranks sixth on the First-Crop list with $742,780 in progeny earnings to date.

Moonlight looked like a winner the entire one-mile trip. He stalked pacesetter Stolen Magic while in hand through six furlongs. Roused by Irad Ortiz, Jr. while entering the stretch, Moonlight responded willingly and drew off with complete authority in the final furlong to stop the timer in 1:36.04 and earn an outstanding Beyer Speed Figure of 90.

Bred in Kentucky by Peter Blum Thoroughbreds, LLC, Moonlight sold for $285,000 to owner Town & Country Racing for $285,000 at the 2023 OBS Spring 2-year-olds sale.
