My Mane Squeeze powered her way to a 4 ½-length maiden special weight win Thursday at Saratoga, the second such winner in as many days for top-10 First-Crop sire Audible.
The dark bay filly was prominent from the outset of the six-furlong race, taking the lead midway on the turn. She swiftly opened up at the top of the lane to put several lengths on the field, then was in hand in the final furlong to win in 1:11.28 on a fast track.
My Mane Squeeze is owned by her breeder William Butler and banked $48,400 in victory. Her dam In Spite of Mama has produced three winners previously, including three-time stakes winner Rotknee and stakes-placed Lookin for Trouble.
Audible now has five individual winners and recently scored his first stakes horse when Dorothy Crowfoot placed in the $100,000 Prairie Meadows Debutante S.
