Audible is now a top-five First-Crop sire by winners, with 14, after Cats by Five and Singsational both scored open-length maiden special weight wins on Oct. 11 and 12, respectively.
In addition to his formidable list of winners, Audible’s five juvenile stakes horses ranks third on the First-Crop list. Audible’s 2024 stud fee is to be announced later this fall pending future results from his current 2-year-olds.
Cats by Five, who was contesting a 5 ½-furlong main track race at Horseshoe Indianapolis, vied for the lead with Azteca’s Gold until entering the stretch, when the dark bay colt powered away from the field and won easily.
Cats by Five is owned by Three Chimneys Farm, who purchased him for $575,000 at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling sale. Bred by Westwind Farm, Cats by Five is a half-brother to graded winner Bob’s Edge and stakes winner Watch Me Burn.
Singsational ran up a 12 ½-length win going one mile on the main track at Remington Park. The bay filly was well rated for the first five furlongs, then much like Cats by Five, pulled clear with ease and was all alone through the stretch to the wire.
Singsational is owned by Winchell Thoroughbreds LLC and bred by Jean White, Wavertree Farm and SGV Thoroughbreds, LLC.
