Harlan’s Holiday colt gavels for $180K

A yearling by Harlan’s Holiday brought $180,000 at the Oct. 4-5 Fasig-Tipton Fall Yearlings sale at Timonium, Md. The price was the second-highest of the two-day event. The bay colt was bought by Barlar LLC from the consignment of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Abbott’s Charlton, agent.

Hip No. 494 is out of Christmas Strike, who has had five runners, all winners. Her leading earner is Double Down Vinman, winner of the Lil E. Tee H. and over $450,000 in his career. She has also produced stakes-placed No Passing Zone and Holy Christmas. Christmas Strike is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Christmas Kid and stakes winner Elusive Gift.

Harlan’s Holiday has already had a sales topper this year; a $310,000 colt that was offered at the Fasig-Tipton July yearling sale.
