Take Charge Indy’s newest stakes winner very game in $100,000 Dave’s Friend S.

Petingas Twin, a 4-year-old son of Take Charge Indy, earned his first stakes victory by gamely running down Prince of Jericho in the $100,000 Dave’s Friend Nov. 22 at Laurel Park.

Petingas Twin is one of Take Charge Indy’s 10 stakes horses in 2025, a list topped by Grade 2 winner Indy Bay. Take Charge Indy is scheduled to stand the 2026 season for $7,500 S&N.

Allowed to settle a few lengths off the early pace of the six-furlong race, Petingas Twin made a three-wide move around the turn and was within two lengths of leader Prince of Jericho after turning for home. Petingas Twin resolutely wore down the pacesetter to win a thrilling finish by a nose on the wire.

“I have to give the owner all the credit on this one,” trainer Anthony Farrior said. “He likes the Take Charge Indys.”

Owned by James Wolf, Petingas Twin has won 6 of 20 starts, earning $288,086.

Bred in Kentucky by Mesingw Farm, Petingas Twin sold for $52,000 as a yearling. His third dam, Summer Colony, was a Grade 1-winning millionaire.
