Banner day for Tiznow at Keeneland Day 1

The Tiznow offerings were some of the strongest sellers during first day of the 2013 Keeneland September Yearling sale, with seven youngsters by the WinStar stallion bringing at least $300,000.

Tiznow’s gross receipts were $3.46 million on the day, second-best of the session, while his average of $346,000 was also in the top 10.

Hip No. 24 was Tiznow’s top seller, with Fox Hill Farm going to $610,000 for the Taylor Made Sales consignee. The colt is the second foal out of Grade 2 Honorable Miss S. winner Forest Music, whose first foal was the spectacular debut winner Maclean’s Music.

Tiznow’s other half-million plus seller was hip No. 91, consigned by Stone Farm and bought by Zayat Stables. The colt is the first foal out of the stakes mare Ididntmeantoo, who is out of the Grade 2 winner Bella Chiarra.
