De Regreso the second stakes winner of the weekend for Audible

A day after Audible’s My Mane Squeeze took the Eight Belles S. (G2) at Churchill Downs, the WinStar stallion recorded another stakes winner when De Regreso was a sharp winner of the Honey Ryder S. at Gulfstream Park.

The 3-year-old filly, who earned her first stakes win in the one-mile turf affair, is the fourth stakes winner of 2024 for her sire, who currently leads the Second-Crop sire list by earnings, wins, black type winners and graded stakes winners.

After breaking near the back of the 10-horse field, De Regreso made her way to the inside and began to move up along the fence. She progressed between horses to fourth when the field hit the final turn. She moved out wider for clear running and came into the stretch with a full head of steam. After overtaking Stormcast, she drew off with authority to win by 2 ¾-lengths in 1:33.77 on the firm turf.

The victory improved De Regreso’s record to 3-1-2 in nine starts, and earnings to $121,372 for her owners Cariroli Racing Stable and Magic Stables, Inc. The bay filly was bred in Kentucky by Baron Thoroughbreds LLC.
