$460K for Speightstown colt at Fasig-Tipton Florida

Speightstown’s top offering at the March 4 Fasig-Tipton Florida Select 2-year-old sale brought a winning bid of $460,000.

Consigned by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, hip No. 105 was bought by Spendthrift Farm. The chestnut juvenile, who breezed 10.1 seconds at the March 2 under tack show, is out of the multiple stakes-winning Forest Wildcat mare Stylish Wildcat. His third dam is champion 2-year-old Family Style, a winner of over $1.5 million and eight graded stakes.

With five stakes winners and nearly $1.2 million in progeny earnings to date this year, Speightstown is in the top 10 on the General Sire list. He stands this year at WinStar Farm for $80,000 S&N.
