Banner closing day at OBS 2YO sale for Commissioner
Wednesday, March 13, 2019
Wednesday's closing session of the OBS March 2-year-olds in Training Sale yielded some stellar results for First-Crop sire Commissioner, with a pair of fillies bringing $450,000 and $225,000. His two-day average of $199,000 was more than 26 times his stud fee.

Commissioner's top filly, hip No. 544, was consigned by Brick City Thoroughbreds and sold to Gulf Coast Stables LLC. The filly's dam, Tregrandibambini, is a half-sister to five-time stakes winner Willet.

Wavertree Stables consigned hip No. 307, the $225,000 filly that went to Exline-Border Racing. Her dam Magnet has produced a remarkable eight winners and is a daughter of the millionaire and multiple graded stakes winner Irish Linnet.

Commissioner, one of four WinStar Stallions with their first 2-year-olds this year, has bred 365 mares in his first three season and stands this year for $7,500 stands and nurses
