Distorted Humor $700,000 colt stars Monday at Keeneland

Perennial leading sales sire Distorted Humor had yet another star during Monday’s session of the Keeneland September Yearling sale, when a colt by the WinStar stallion brought a top bid of $700,000.

Bred and consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, hip No. 85 went to Lothenbach Stables. The chestnut colt is out of the Canadian Champion Older Mare Serenading, who also won the Falls City H. (G2) at Churchill Downs. The incredible female family includes the likes of Touch Gold, Canadian Horse of the Year With Approval, and Grade 1 winner Brilliant Speed.

Distorted Humor, who had a $850,000 2-year-old colt at the Fasig-Tipton May sale, has a total of 43 yearlings cataloged in the sale, which runs through Sept. 23.
