Here's Johnny answers call at OBS

Colonel John’s Here’s Johnny won a three-way stretch battle to collar the top prize in Tuesday's $100,000 OBS Championship S.  for 3-year-old colts and geldings, prevailing by a nose and neck in the tight finish.

Colonel John finished 2013 in the third spot on the Freshman Sire list, with Grade 2 Sorrento S. winner Concave highlighting a list of five stakes horses, that included Here's Johnny as runner-up in both the $150,000 Kentucky Cup Juvenile Turf S. and $100,000 Juvenile Turf S. at Gulfstream Park.

Florida-bred Here’s Johnny sold for $220,000 by Beth Bayer, Agent, at the 2012 OBS August Sale. Owned by Ice Wine Stable, his record now stands at 7-3-2-0, with $163,381 in earnings to date.
