Macagone wires field in Danger’s Hour S.

Artie Schiller got his sixth stakes winner of the year on Sunday when Macagone went gate-to-wire in the $100,000 Danger’s Hour S. at Aqueduct, winning by 3 1/2-lengths for his first stakes win.

Macagone, a Trinity Farm homebred, was third in his most recent start, the $100,000 El Prado S. at Gulfstream Park in December. Coming out of the gate swiftly, the 5-year-old was up by more than a length after a quarter mile, and was never seriously threatened at any point. He covered the mile in 1:36.96 on a yielding turf course.

Macagone has hit the board in 15 of 18 lifetime starts, earning $295,742.

Artie Schiller is the sire of 31 black type winners and earners of nearly $30 million worldwide. He is standing this year at WinStar Farm for $10,000 live foal.
