Prominent freshman sire Kodiak Kowboy continued his impressive first-year run on Wednesday with another pair of winners, including his first repeater Cool Cowboy, who captured an allowance event at Hawthorne.
Kodiak Kowboy now has a dozen winners to his credit, second-most on the 2013 Freshman Sire list. He will stand at WinStar for $5,000 LFS&N in 2014.
Cool Cowboy, who has won two of four starts, was bred in Kentucky by Columbiana Farm. The chestnut colt is a graduate of the Keeneland September Yearling sale, where he brought a winning bid of $110,000, his highest-priced yearling of 2012.
Datwatdaddydo broke her maiden on Wednesday as well, capturing a five furlong affair at Turf Paradise by a length in her second lifetime start. The filly is out of Rings and Things, whose siblings include Grade 2 San Rafael S. winner Crafty C. T.
