$500,000 Speightstown colt at F-T Midlantic 2yo sale

Speightstown had the second-highest priced colt at the May 23-24 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in Training Sale, with I.B.S. Placing the winning bid for the McKathan Brothers consignment.

Listed as hip No. 463, the dark bay Kentucky bred is out of the multiple stakes winning Indian Charlie mare Czechers. 

Speightstown’s other offering through the ring was hip No. 453, consigned by Bobb Dodd and purchased by Jerry Frankel for $225,000. The gray colt is a half-brother to stakes-placed Music Chart and from the same family as Grade 1 winners Desert Stormer and Better Lucky.
