Congrats filly shines in Gulfstream debut

Congrats latest unveiling came early Saturday afternoon at Gulfstream Park when Kinsley Kisses lived up to the pre-race hype with a sparkling 2 ¼-length seven-furlong maiden special weight win.

The 3-year-old filly was sent away the 4-5 favorite off a series of solid works at Palm Beach Downs for trainer Todd Pletcher and on-air commentators speaking of backside comparisons to Rachel Alexandra.

Away from the gate very well, Kinsley Kisses dueled for the lead through a half-mile in :45.53. With John Velazquez giving her a nudge at the top of the stretch, she spurted away from the field and came home a comfortable winner in 1:23.11.

Bred in Kentucky by Stonesteet Thoroughbreds, Kinsley Kisses was a $200,000 Keeneland September Yearling sale purchase. She is out of the Forestry mare Winter Forest, who is a sister to stakes winners Ever Elusive and Saratoga Summer.
