Good Samaritan makes his mark with $210,000 filly Wednesday at OBS 2yo sale

Good Samaritan, whose first crop will hit the track in the coming weeks, was well-represented during Wednesday’s session of the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training by a $210,000 filly purchased by Joe Balsamo.

Hip No. 454 was consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales LLC, agent. The bay filly previously was a $55,000 Fasig-Tipton October yearling purchase.

Bred in Kentucky, the filly is out of the Distorted Humor mare Forget It, who is also the dam of two-time stakes winner Red Danger. This is also the family of champion Heavenly Prize and Grade 1 winner Dancing Forever.

Good Samaritan has four lots remaining in the OBS sale, which continues through Friday. Arguably the most versatile son of the late Harlan’s Holiday, Good Samaritan amassed more than $1.3 million in earnings and was a Grade 2 winner on both dirt and turf. He currently stands for $7,500 S&N.
