Carpe Victoriam latest maiden special weight winner for Carpe Diem

Top-10 First-Crop sire Carpe Diem tallied his eighth 2-year-old winner on Aug. 28 when Carpe Victoriam scored a come-from-behind victory in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race at Indiana Downs.

Tucked along the inside behind horse until the field hit upper stretch, Carpe Victoriam swung to the middle of the racetrack and rallied strongly to run down Expected in deep stretch, winning by 1 1/2-lengths on the wire.

Carpe Victoriam is owned by his breeder Ghost Hollow Farms LLC. He is out of the Malibu Moon mare Paying Off and is a half-brother to three-time stakes winner Joint Custody.
